Piles
There are two types of piles. they are dry piles and bleeding
piles and often caused by chronic constipation, hard and
knotty slots, intake of spices, wines, and meats .Dry piles is
more painful, while bleeding piles render a person weaker.

Use of
caster oil with milk or 1 TSP with a warm cup of tea or, still
better, Isabghole Husk (1 TSP)
with warm milk will help in softening stool and thus, cause
easy and almost painless
passage thereof.

The juice of
the fresh leaves of bitter gourd is also valuable in piles.
·
Ginger is
also useful in this disease. Half a teaspoon of fresh ginger
juice, mixed with one teaspoon each of fresh lime juice and
fresh mint juice, and a tablespoon of honey, constitutes an
effective medicine for piles.
Diagnosis
-
Digital
examination is done by placing the patient in lithotomy
position and the index finger is inserted after wearing
gloves and lubricated by liquid paraffin. The internal piles
are not felt unless they are thrombosed.

Thus a manual
examination and proctoscopy is sufficient to diagnose piles.
Symptoms
-
Severe itching
and a burning sensation around the anus and the surrounding
areas.

Difficulty in
passing stool.

A lump on the
anus.

Pain and
discomfort afetr passing the bowel.

A slimy
discharge of muscus .which may leave the area itchy.
